Katie smiled at the compliment he had just given her and laughed a little as he asked about brownie points, “Yup, I’ll give you…5 for that one,” she joked, still sipping the Jack Daniel’s. “So,” she began, watching all the 20 something year olds on the dance floor all grinding with each other, “What have you been up to since I ate in your hot tub and split?” she asked him, moving her eyes from the dancing people to him.

“Just five?” he questioned in mock hurt as he practically downed his whole drink. “You’re gonna think I’m so pathetic.” he started, a light chuckle escaping his lips as he turned his head to face her. “I’ve been sitting on my couch getting drunk…alone, getting high…alone, and doing everything…alone. Besides the house party I had, I’ve barely had any contact with the outside world. I had a pretty good conversation with the old lady at the grocery store though. She helped me find my cocoa puffs.” he smiled as he finished off his drink and ordered another. “What about you? I’m sure your life has been way more entertaining than mine.”

She smiled as she he came into view and joined her at the bar. “Hey,” she said, offering a simple greeting as he sat on the stool next to her. The blonde looked down at her clothing before looking around the bar. Some people seemed to be dressed up more and others dressed down more, “What do you mean?” she asked a little confused by his statement, waiting for his answer as she took a decent sized sip of the whiskey in her hand.

Evan smiled as he nodded his thanks at the bartender before taking a huge gulp of his beer. “Well…” he started, turning his body towards Katie as he took another small drink, “you’re just way more beautiful than every other girl here.” he finished, a closed smile spreading across his face. “Do I get brownie points for that?” he questioned with a light chuckle as he turned fully around and leaned his back against the bar counter. Taking small sips here and there of his drink, he took a good look around. It was pretty much what anyone would expect to see at a bar - half naked drunk girls and partially drunk guys picking them up.
